Virgin Galactic x Dubai Airshow
The Gateway to Space.
As part of their recent launch of the Spaceport America interior, Virgin Galactic approached us to create a mixed-reality experience that would allow attendees of Dubai Airshow 2019 to remotely immerse themselves within the Gaia Lounge.
Bringing New Mexico to Dubai.
Attendees were welcomed to take a seat at a prototyped section of the Barista Island, at which they could overlook the desert plain runway - as if waiting to board the spaceship.
Making the Virtual, Tangible.
All physical objects within reach of the user are prototyped out of replica materials that match the Spaceport. Allowing the user to tangibly interact with the virtual space that they're seeing.
Controlled Parameters.
Whilst within the virtual space, guests have full control of the ambient surroundings. Making the Spaceport to come to life and giving them a real taste of what it's like to be within the environment.
